Eugster’s Farm
Yesterday we took a little field trip in the morning. We met Jenny, the children she watches, and another mom and child at Eugster’s Farm. This is a beautiful farm located just outside of Stoughton, Wisconsin. They have a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze–plenty of fun fall activities. We didn’t get to see everything, with just the little kids, but we all had a blast, anyway. It was hilarious to watch the kids interact with the goats. Lidia showed no fear of the animals, and especially liked feeding crackers to the goats. It took a bit of convincing to get her to understand that those crackers were for goats, and not kids. Once she got the idea, she couldn’t get enough of feeding them.
The kids started getting crank around 11, so we picked out little pumpkins and made our way home. Both Lidia and Caleb fell asleep for about 20 minutes on the way home. This made for a very bad afternoon with Lidia as she then needed a nap late in the afternoon (she finally went to sleep around 3) and due to the late nap it took over an hour to get her down last night. She is still sleeping now, at 8:30am. I will have to wake her up if we don’t want a repeat of yesterday. I think in the future, there will be no more morning trips with long car rides… For my sanity’s sake…
