On Pennies and Bathroom Stalls
On our way out of town Saturday night, we got the perfectly timed call of “Mama! I pee-pee!” There just so happened to be a rest stop ahead. As we are walking in, oh JOY of JOYS! Lidia found— MONEY! She about knocked me over trying to get to this beautiful penny laying on the ground–she was so excited I thought she was going to pee right there! As I steered her toward the bathroom, laughing, she exclaimed to each person she passed “I money!!!”
As I helped her onto the toilet to do her pee pee business she continued exclaiming to the person in the next stall “I money, I money!!” The lady in the next stall kindly answers “I know honey, and I am so happy for you!”
Oh, to experience the freshness of the world through a 2 year old’s eyes! We would all be a little less cranky with 2 year old glasses—so long as we make sure to take our afternoon naps…
