Memorial Day Weekend
We had a great Memorial Weekend! Roberta and Vince came for a visit (without the kids this time) and we just had an all round nice time :)
On Saturday we found a babysitter (Thanks Jenny!) and all went out on a date! Adam and I haven’t really been out together since our Anniversary last year, so it was much fun. We saw X-men 3 (good movie) and took them to Restaurant Magnus. I was feeling ill that evening so I could not fully enjoy my meal, however it tasted fabulous the next day!
On Sunday afternoon, The Tancks invited us out on their boat and we had a nice time tooling around on Mendota and Monona, then we headed back to our house to grill brats and dogs. Lidia was quite impressed by her first real boat ride and talked about it all evening. “I ride Nyo-nyo’s boat!” (For those not up on Lidia speak, Nyo-Nyo is Naomi, one of Jenny and Jason’s daughters–about 3 months younger than Lidia). Lidia, also, did not complain once about wearing her life jacket and was excited that she had used the “pee boat” (A little potty chair was brought with in case of Lidia’s bladder needing relief).
At any rate, good times were had, Roberta and Vince headed home Monday morning and life is back to normal again :)
