Little metal bits that go to pretty decorative multi-tier trays do not do well in the garbage disposal.
In case you ever need to unjam your garbage disposal, it’s good to have a 1/4″ allen wrench, a broom handle, and needle nose pliers–oh, and a flashlight wouldn’t hurt, either.
